Did I really screw up bad as I was scared to pull the covers as I had to get to work today and thought I might screw something up pulling the covers. It isn't leaking.

Dana 44's have drain plugs on the bottom of the diff housing. No you didnt screw it up. If your stock height then fill to just below fill plug which is on the actual cover itself and your good to go. Around 2 quarts in both diffs and your fine

Shhooowee thanks! I did like you guys said and loosened the top screw to make sure I could get it off and then I took out the drain plug and drained it all out and then sprayed brake cleaner inside, let dry and put bottom plugs back in and filled until it started to ooze out the fill hole and clamped em up.

Right side ball joints (Upper and Lower) with Crapo Zone Ball Joint Press. Before anyone says anything, I was going to use the Auto Skills Center at Ft Meade, but they were closed, and the father in law didn't have a Ball Joint Press, and I wanted to get it done for a upcoming road trip.

Ordering OTC Ball Joint Press. It's possible I might just melt down the Auto Zone kit, and save anyone else the anguish. Yeah, right.

Will do the left side at a later date, with the right Ball Joint Press kit...from OTC.

Had 3 instances of Death Wobble before the Ball Joint swap. Waiting to see if I killed the DW monster, for now.

I bought front and rear diff guards from Rough Country today, they are on sale 50% off today until tomorrow at 12:00pm CST/1:00pm EST as part of their countdown to christmas sale, so it's like buy one get one free if your looking to get a set of diff guards.

Drove to work 35 miles to work this morning on mostly ice covered roads.... The weather was kind enough to spit freezing rain/sleet after the 14" of snow and 45mph winds we had last Wed....

MAN! I love NE..... (That said: I did get ample opportunity to try out my new MT treads in the snow and I have to say they handle well....)

Are they the Aluminum rims? If they are, all mine slowly started leaking. The tire place I go to had to pop the tires off and wire-wheel the inside lip of the rim. I guess the Aluminum gets some oxidation on it that causes a poor seal of the bead.

Did a oil change, and then convinced myself to give it a wash. Nothing like washing the jeep in the dark, I'll see how well I did tomorrow.
