I got them from Quadratec.

They seem to be very nice. Quick to unhook, then you rehook it to a mounting point on the fenderwell to hold the swaybar out of the way. Quick and easy, road to trial......with nothing to lose in your glove box after you disconnect...........

DDM 35W or 55W Slim Ballast HID Kit on the right side drop downs pick 55 watt, H4 Hi/Lo (if you want high beams too) and 6000k for color. Should total 79.95 plus shipping. Do you have H4 type light housings already if not. Autopal on ebay is not much money maybe $40 shipped, the best seems to be the Hella's night vision around $80-$90

The kit is easy to install, I used outdoor dubble stick taps on some of the components to secure them from bouncing around and pull ties on the rest.

The housings I got (Diamonds on ebay for $26 delivered) were not good because the indexing tabs on the back did not line up with the front lenses Top, I just made them work.
Let me know if you have any questions.

there are some good write ups here in JF, just search DDM HID

Check out my drive way light on the wall, it's a CFL and it is not yellow, only looks it with the light from the 6000K color HID bulbs

Sunday, I'll be installing the DDM HID 55watt Hi/Low 6000k kit and replacing spark plugs.

I know they look high but that is because my driveway is sloped. I had the same concerns so after adjusting them I checked it myself by leaving the Jeep parked on the street with the lights on and driving at it with my wife's Lexus (also HID) and it was fine. the cut off on these things are pretty sharp.

I know this is probably a pretty silly question to ask, but what the heck...

Being that they are as thin as a can of SPAM or a travel camper, I presume you screwed/bolted the roof rack THROUGH your Jeep hardtop and that it is (literally) attached/visible from the inside?

And, if so, did you do anything to seal it/make it waterproof?

Thanks in advance -- it looks great!!!

I went with the basic H4 DOT version from this link and the ebay vendor. Didn't do diamond after reading the thread. Amazing difference. Best thing I've done. Couldn't beat the price or the simplicity.

The area where the through bolts (5ea side) goes through is made of two layers and about .25" thick total. Also the holes I drilled were the same size as the bolts (10/22 .75 counter sunk S.S. with large washers and nylon lock nuts) I also used sealant at the top side at each hole. I have tested is for leaks, even with a pressure washer... no leaks. Unfortunatley yes the washers and nuts can be seen on the inside.
the cross bars are removable leaving only the tracks when not needed.
When you have 3 girls worth of bags to take on a trip, I had to come up with something. again I found the information here on JF very useful, if your interested here's the write up on Junk yard Roof rack http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/junkyard-roof-rack-630944/
