Bought a used hardtop. Stripped it, sanded it, and then painted it (inside and out). And for the kicker, I somehow broke the back glass just by shutting the rear hatch. What a day! At least my SYE and Drive Shaft just came in!

Installed a new ZJ tie rod. Cut my front fenders to start the custom fab of my tube fenders. Thinking about doing an exo-skeleton with 1" tubing and tie it in to the front bumper. Not really sure yet.

Next weekend is the welding of the tubing to the existing fenders. Pics to come when complete .

I think I have a picture of the process somewhere. Oh, a note to the wise, if you decide to do cut your fenders I highly suggest wearing some kind of breather barrier. I've been coughing up black metal shavings all weekend.

Beer makes the lines straighter .

thats just from the ranch road to the camp area where everyone get theirs rigs ready for the trails. the guys who trailered their rigs had to leave the trucks and trailers by the front office because the roads were so muddy

i think those were all the photos of me from the trip

link to the pics i took: http://s871.photobucket.com/albums/ab272/coltscormphotos/

Drove 110 miles home from wheeling, on a drag link that could have fallen off at any time...of course i didnt know this till i got home. Re-adjusted and tighted it up and im good to go.

But wheelin was fun, met some new friends and had an overall great time.

Drove it to the gas station to fill 'er up and then drove her back home. With the horrible gas mileage I am getting in sub zero temps (10 mpg...) I'd rather drive the Subaru everyday and keep the Jeep for those days I actually go wheeling. The Subaru gets 23 mpg in the winter.

Over the weekend I installed a Rough Country 2.5" Suspension lift, adjustable track bars for the front and rear, JKS HD steering drag link, Rock Hard rear bumper tire carrier, and 35 MTZ's on Crager Soft 8's...................needless to say, I'm sore today

I have a set of Currie LCA to install on the front and rear, and fender flares should be here this week. I also have 4.56's to install........

I would like to say, that Jeffrey from Rough Country is GREAT. UPS had some issues getting some of the parts to us.........One call to Jeffrey, and the issue was taken care of.........

Also, the Hard Rock Tire Carrier Rear bumper is a work of art. Everything fits well, construction is top notch, and over all quality is EXCELLANT........I highly recommend.

I'd post pics, but I haven't been a member long enough yet.

Take Care All,
Steve
