Tried welding the hitch I'm building here at home and found out my little buzz box that's designed for 3/16" steel doesn't touch 60 year old quality made galvanized steel at all

I also made a new zipper pull for my rear window out of some 550 cord. I like it

I bought a set of Rusty's 1/4" thick replacement mounts, and new rear shocks to replace the RC base shocks

Finally finished up the new transmission, new trans cooler, and rebuilt the front driveshaft. Took it out for a test drive, so far all is well. 1-2 shift at 20 mph, 2-3 shift at 34 mph, TC lockup at 40 mph. Felt good to get it rolling again.

Saturday, did the junk yard tour and came home with and installed a roof rack from a mid 90's Explorer on my hard top. The hard part was not finding a good roof rack, it was finding one with screws that would come out. Thanks to cash for clunkers the yard is full of Explorers and the likes. Also replaced rear brake pads.
Sunday, I'll be installing the DDM HID 55watt Hi/Low 6000k kit and replacing spark plugs.

I may have to hit the JY myself. I'm looking for a set of steel halfdoors. I want to trade my full doors + Bestop half doors for them. I put an add in the classified section. Lotsa views, two comments. Any other ideas?

In Winter, I have issues with locking gas cap freezing........ Depending upon how cold it gets in your area, you may have this issue also.
