You'd be surprised, if there was a common vehicle thread and the whole US was on it with a thread titled what did you pay to have fixed today, you'd get everything from a flat tire, to the little nut that holds the license plate.

Today i rolled down the window and said hi with a smile to the friggin idiot in the BMW who almost hit me while texting, then I went home and fixed the horn.

And yes they do sell BMW's to moron's

Basically, if everyone would drive a stick....texting while driving becomes close to impossible

Found oil drips on the drive way from the rear diff. The little plastic plug is leaking. What the heck? Will a new one fix it?

a new one should fix it, but the dif fluid should be about 1/2 " BELOW the plug on level ground (via the owners manual). unless you are on a hill, u shouldn't have fluid draining out of the hole...

Never figured out why they did a plug rather than a proper bolt like the D30 and D44. Anyone have ideas? Seems stupid

the fluid is UNDER the whole/plug level when the oil is COLD...
why a plastic plug and not a screw ? it´s cheaper material and less labour at the factory...ggg

Then why are the D30 and D44 have bolts? That is probably a better question. Your explanation does make sense.
