Got a new cat convertor. Went out at just over 50,000. Let the dealer put it in for free.

This was actually 2 weeks ago:
Bought a set of half doors with uppers. Nice thing is that the doors I bought ended up being the originals that the Jeep came with from the factory. The guy I bought the Jeep from ended up putting the half doors on craigslist. I bought the Jeep with a full door upgrade. The best part is that the key works on the ignition and all 4 doors.
While I was purchasing the doors I mentioned that I was needing to tow the Jeep for about 12 hours in a few days. I mentioned that I was planning on looking at tow dollies. This is when he directed me to another area within his garage where he had on the floor a Roadmaster Sterling towbar and mounting system specificaly designed to attach to the front of the Jeep. It had only been used once. This item was also on craigslist. Needless to say, I ended up getting a deal on both the doors and the towbar system.
When trying to attach the towbar mount on the Jeep the next day I found out that the mount is designed to fit on a stock bumper. It clearly was not compatible with the aftermarket ARB bumper that is currently on it. (I was in the truck when I bought the towbar). So to remedy this problem, I put the welder to work and built some brackets to assist with the mounting process.
We ended up towing the Jeep a total of 25 hours up into the mountains the next week (12 hours going, 13 hours coming) and all went well. Glad I got the towbar - no dolly to have to mess with.

Finally got around to installing my CB radio... Cobra 75 WX ST with a 4" Wilson Silver Load... Having severe issues tuning it though, my SWR is way too high. I'm thinking grounding issues; I'll play with it tomorrow and if it doesn't work, in to the CB shop...

Yes. Make sure it's bare metal on the underside of the mounting bracket. Sometimes the screws you use to mount the bracket will provide enough of an RF ground to the tub or bumper/frame (if the bracket's bare metal there), but if not you might need to sand away a little dime-sized spot on the mount and body/frame where the mount meets the body/frame to get a good ground.

Never a terrible idea.

I will take more pics of the process when I do the other side and post a tech write up. I wanted to make sure I could pull it off first.

Looks good man, I've got some F-250 Shock towers sitting in my storage closet waiting for a rainy day so I can do this same thing, I'll be extending my front as well. One question though, why didn't you go any taller with the uppers so as to increase your wheel travel?

took off the chrome grille overlay to be surprised to find some weird brown spots under the headlights. doesnt look or feel like rust though. almost like a burn. didnt have time to really look at it since it started to rain and the jeep was not in the garage.

Right now I am just doing it so I can still use my current shocks. Later when I have the funds for coilovers I will do it again and raise them up. For $30 a set I figured I would be ok. Now if I had spent $300 on the Genright ones I would not have done it yet. I had done the Axle mount when I had my RE 5.5" springs on. Then I desided (with my wifes help, since she couldn't get in anymore) to go back to 4.5" springs (AEV/Nth degree progressive rate). When I did that I had about 1" of shock up travel. So I had to raise the top mount for the shock or drop the bottom, I chose option one. I have spent all year building and puting a 3-link waggy dana 44 in the front so I am ready to get the jeep back on the trail!!!
