Ordered the RE3.5" lift and wasted the afternoon at work designing my storage
draws for the back of the jeep.......seat out...250mm high new floor with 3 drawers
underneath and ice box fitted in and a nice flat surface for the dog !!!!

He already has a harness and seat belt.....now thinking of his own roll bars he can stand inbetween to lessen the momentum.....

In the last 24 hours I wired up my winch, lubbed up the door latches and hindges, Scraped stickers off and cleaned up slopped DuraBack, (which I might add is junk I can scrap it off with a credit card) and no I didn't put it on, I bought it that way. Next is a pressure wash followed by some wiring for Hella 500's

figure I'd add a couple pics...

first, the cell:

it wasn't completely done in that pic...but it was close...just another blue AN cap where the red plastic cap is, plus we found the missing connector and removed the temporary hose clamp off the hose going to the pump, and also cable-tied it all down...

and the two new rear bars (already had the rear cross bar and the two lower diagonal bars...the new ones come from the front spreaders to the rear corners):

sorry for the bad angle...kept taking them by hold the camera up and out, and that was the best of the bunch...

Greg

Put YJ brake hoses on the front, re-cut & welded the rear track bar rotating the axle end forward so it doesn't bind so bad in the RE CV bracket. The rear was riding hard before because of the bind and first impressions are that it's better now. It still seems rougher than before, but the only other thing I did was invert the shocks (they're DT3000s).

Oh, and I picked up three cheapo recovery straps (no hooks) from one of those gypsy tools shows: 2 3"x10' 20k lb straps for 10$ ea. and a 3"x50' 20k lb for $50. I'd rather have a 20' or 30' instead of the 50', but it's all they had. They're cheap and blah blah blah, but they're better than nothing.

Tom

[edit: these are recovery, not tow straps ]

All I did was drive mine 50 yards to the gas station on the corner for a pack of smokes.

All I did was put the top down and go for a ride up the coast in beautiful 75 degree sunshine. Too bad a cold front is on the way:
