Flip your mounting plate over, and you'll close up that gap you have in the top corners between the mounting plate and the dash bezel.
Thanks, I noticed the gap when I put it all back together but was too lazy to take the dash apart right away. After a few days it started getting to me so I flipped it today.

I drilled out a Lacrosse Ball and stuck it on. I did it with a Baseball first but didn't like how it looked, so I had this lying around in an old equipment bag and I think it looks much better, doesn't stick out so much like the baseball did.

those speakers are ridiculously easy to install. Just slide them in and use the factory screws
the plates are much better than a 4X6 speaker (oval design does not sound as good at round speakers)

if your looking for loudness without distortsion get infinity kappas

Chipped away rust, wire brushed, scotch-brite padded, painted my bumpers and sidebars.

Also scotch-brite padded the rust off my trailer ball and it shined up quite nicely.

Last night I drove it to the store with nothing but a hand brake..talk about retarded! (fire occurred in jeep, burned a brake line, bought a new brake line, turned out to be the wrong brake line, moving in two days across town and I had to make sure it would drive and stop in a timely matter...even with 35's the jeep stopped decently!)

last night I pulled the driver front tube fender off to prep it for paint. Going to pull off the passenger one either tonight or tomorrow. Then sand them down and prep for paint.
