rroadkill. It looks like you just melted the top layer of plastic. I would like to know how it keeps and if it would need to be done agian some time ( 6 months a year etc...). looks good
It did NOT melt anything... It seems to have burned off the oxidation...
PM me in a few weeks / months and I will let you know how it goes...

I'm still too sick to do much, but I unpacked my tube fenders, and measured out the rear tube flare installation. I also found a few miscellaneous things on the Jeep that need welding before long.

so far all my real wheeling has been at rausch creek in pa. its about 2 hours from where i am in howard county. i've also wheeled at assateague but thats just flat sand. there only place to wheel in md really is greenridge state forest, which is mostly easy fireroad type trails with some deeper water crossings and mud this time of year. i haven't been out to greenridge yet but probably will make it out there sometime in the spring. rausch creek is awesome though, everything from simple fireroad trails to some pretty extreme rock crawling. you should check out maryland jeep club, they do trail rides pretty often. the next one coming up is george washington national forest in febuary.
hey maryland jeeper..what part of md are u from..moco..boring im planning on making my first wheeling experience to greenridge over spring break
took the top and doors off on saturday - woke up yesterday morning to the jeep window covered in ice and everything nicely frosted - had to drive to basketball at 8am with my head hanging out the side - straight ace ventura style.
we rarely have a need for ice scrapers in tucson so it's not really part of my trail kit that i keep in the jeep.
installed the warn rear bumper/tire carrier - was going to wait until i actually need it but got too impatient seeing it sitting there. installed the typical 3rd brake light mod with the little circle light is inset inside the spare. i'd say overall fairly productive.
oh and filled her up ... again
