YESTERDAY

Put on a new water pump@104k (preventative maintenence), made a new bracket for my Griffin radiator which mounted it too high for hood clearance, had friend pick me up for work ;(

TODAY

Got a new piece of steel to work with for new improved bracket. Work to commence after I get some sleep and it warms up to our chilly high of 27 degrees. I know, I know, Ohio guys, you are laughing at me and all I've got to say is I'm just glad I won't be wrenching in the snow (been there, done that).

Made my radiator brackets, installed radiator, modified brackets after noticing a clearance issue with steering shaft and reinstalled radiator. Not really satisfied with the finished product but it serves it's purpose for now. One day I will have better fabrication tools than a hammer, drill and grinder ;(

Ordered my Factory Service Manual. Installed all the center caps on the wheels and laid my plan out for the 5+ wiring jobs through the firewall due to happen tomorrow.

replace a TRE, tried to re install my KC lights, but I broke a lens, started my anti rock install. It didn't want to go together as easily as I had thought, but it's almost finished. Had to go get a bigger hammer.

Tomorrow. I'm going to replace an air line, air up and change tires, pick up and load the trailer, pack the cold weather gear since it's supposed to get to the single digits saturday, and then most importantly... sleep.

Used my winch for the first time! What a hoot! High centered myself in the snow. So, got home and ordered a snatch block and tow strap.

? Need some 'd' rings, hardware store stuff ok or special ones I see from the on line folks?

A shackle is a shackle. Just make sure it is rated at 10,000lbs or better

My first one was one of the very first ones...they have since tweaked a few things on the latest ones (better fit, etc.), and so yes, they agreed to replace it. I suppose you could say it was under warranty.

Rebuilt my Warn 9.5ti. The PO didn't maintain it very well, and so the brake mechanism locked up. This resulted in a broken planetary gear. Ordered new parts last week, and rebuild everything last night. Hopefully tonight I get it remounted on the Jeep.
