I used my power washer to clean the undercarriage and transmission.

Let me explain.

I purchased my '04 used about a month ago with 55,000 miles on it. I noticed dirty oil on the rear of the oil pan and all over the transmission and a drop of oil about to fall from the oil pan drain bolt. So now the question has been, "Is my drain plug leaking? Is my rear main seal leaking? Have a bunch of slobs done the service on this vehicle for the past four years?" So......

.....now that it is all clean and purdy under there I can hopefully get an answer to those questions. My fingers are crossed that it is all just a bunch of residual oil from 10-15+ oil changes over the years as the rest of the vehicle seems to have been well maintained.

But that's Canadian snow.

At the current exchange rate, 1 foot of Canuck stuff will only be about 8 1/2 inches of US snow.

Put my XM radio back in today. Have one of the suction cup mounts and attached it to the windshield, ran the wires through the dash. Looks good and I can easily remove it so it won't get stolen. Man did I miss it.

As for the fluffy white stuff, don't miss it. Lived in NY for 20 years and it got old after a while. I'm convinced that the snow plow drivers sat up the street and waited to plow the shoulder until after I cleaned out my driveway.

so I was just messing around in the snow and I see a blue bmw 5 series stuck (RWD), turns out it's one of my good friends, ask if he needs help, so happy had my tow straps, he hooked up his tow hook in the rear of his car, strapped the rope to my rear bumper, and in 2 seconds was out

I was incredibly impressed he was pretty deep in snow and I was in first gear, not even about 3xxx RPM and he came right out

shimmed up my tire carrier. a bit. the tire hangs out a bit too far and the weight, I think, is causing a small tear in the body near the anchor on the bottom right. It's not bad right now, and a fellow Jeeper did read end me on the trail a month ago and that's when I noticed the crack...don't f they're related or not.

So anyway I extended the top right rubber bump stop to give the upper bar more support.

next thing I will do is drill into the carrier and add a bump stop to it to help support the tire a bit more. the stop can rest on the wheel.
