Weren't the late 2000's and all 2001 models affected by the 0331 head cracking?
Welcome. Nice Jeep you've got there. Basically before the Rubicon came out the Sahara's were the top of the line model. They had your cruise, tilt wheel, upgraded radio...all that stuff. You're pretty lucky to have a D44 rear end to.
Wanted: Savvy/Currie 3" front springs
Ok, so I know I got a 2000 Sahara (for which I've waited years to get), but can you tell me from the pics what diffs I have or if you see anything I should fix, replace or upgrade (on a budget). Oh and what makes a Sahara, a "Sahara"?
Sorry, I'm not a Jeep expert, but from what I read, a lot of folks here are.
See those tags bolted to the left side of the diff cover, they have a lot of information including your gear ratio. Looks like a D30 front and D44 rear, nice jeep.
I believe Sahara's had a soft top and hard top, color matched fender flairs, 2 tone seats and a sound bar stock. That's how my 02 was, picked it up in 05 with only 17000 miles in perfect condition, congrats!
