Weren't the late 2000's and all 2001 models affected by the 0331 head cracking?
Welcome. Nice Jeep you've got there. Basically before the Rubicon came out the Sahara's were the top of the line model. They had your cruise, tilt wheel, upgraded radio...all that stuff. You're pretty lucky to have a D44 rear end to.

Sorry, I'm not a Jeep expert, but from what I read, a lot of folks here are.
Thanks,

See those tags bolted to the left side of the diff cover, they have a lot of information including your gear ratio. Looks like a D30 front and D44 rear, nice jeep.

I have a 2000 Sahara. So far I have not had any issues that have not been self inflicted.
I don't have the 44, but my vehicle rocks, I love it. Pulling the carpet was the best idea ever.

Why does he need to look at tags? With a D30/D44 combo there is only one possible stock gear ratio for a 2000 TJ.

I believe Sahara's had a soft top and hard top, color matched fender flairs, 2 tone seats and a sound bar stock. That's how my 02 was, picked it up in 05 with only 17000 miles in perfect condition, congrats!

Sahara never came stock with dual-top. That was always an extra cost option.
