So the only way the guy broke it was when he put the jeep on its side and tried to upright it?

i will never understand people who tell others to buy a warn winch because the other ones may fail when they need them, then turning around endorsing the S35. I have no doubt that you have bashed yours and put it through a lot - enough to twist the splines, but at the end of the day, it would seem to me that the peace of mind of a different axle and knowing it will not break when you need it, won out for me.

I have no doubt that the S35 is a good axle and is a viable choice for many. I just wanted peace of mind...that was worth losing an inch of clearance on the trail as far as I am concerned.
