What is this?
A buddy and I found this cable sticking out under the dash while installing a new stereo receiver. Neither of us could figure out what it's for! Any ideas?

It is the cable for the compass mirror.

If it were for the compass mirror, wouldn't it be at the top of the windshield??

I know for some MY's, there was a "Navigation" option. The GPS unit would sit in the top dash tray.

The compass mirror has a pig-tail that is long enough to go along the top of the windshield, down the A piller and along the bottom of the windshield to connect to that connector. Just the way they did it. Might have something to do with folding down the windshield.
