I am new here and have done some looking into the death Wobble. I don't know if that is what I have. At 44-45 Miles an hour, the whole front-end with start to shake Violently, to the point that It feels like I am going off the road. This only happens when I maintain that speed. If I am shifting through the gears it will not happen. It has different varieties of the extreme it goes through. I was looking on the window when it did this to me yesterday, and it looked like the wheel was going back and forth in a side to side motion. Is this the sign of a wheel bearing? or tie rod end? I just purchased this jeep about 3 weeks ago, and nothing showed up like this on the test drive. I am looking for some possible solutions to check. I am going to get under it tonight and see if I can see anything looking abnormal. The problem being that I haven't worked on Jeeps before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know what I have done to the Jeep as I bought it the way it sits besides the fluid changes I have done.
The Jeep is a 2003 Rubicon with the 5 speed Manual.
4" Procomp Lift. This is what they said is done.
35" by 12.50 x 15 MTR's Almost gone. It looks like the transfer case was lowered.
There are spacers in there between the wheel and Hub. Do I have to run these?
I know this post is incredibly long and I appreciate all who read. If there are picture requests of items I will try to post them up as soon as possible.
Thanks so much,
Adam
