weird squeal when its cold ??????

i have a 2004 rubicon with a 2.5 lift and a 1.25 bodylift. I have a weird squeal between 30 and 40 and it does it every so often but gets worse when its cold. The noise stays constant and does not get louder or quieter. it goes away around 45. I have no idea what it could be. Please help

does the squeal happen to go away when you push and hold in your clutch? If it does it could be the throwout bearing.

Like I said in my thread, it sounded like it was a wheel bearing, but I have been wanting to rebuild the front driveshaft with some stronger as well as greaseable u-joints anyway, so I will start there.

My jeep makes a squeak when i turn the wheel when i start up for the first time. I sparyd the sterring collum with some wD40, it stopped it for a wile ut its back now. Could it be the u-joint on the steering shaft?

I posted this also at the thread you started, Mike. Found a dry, rusted bearing cap when replacing a u-joint in the cv assembly today. Yeeee-haw, my "angry sparrow" has flown! After reading some of those other posts, I decided not to wait a day longer. Have fun! (I mean that in a good way, )
