Waterpump replaced now I have 'Steam'

I replaced my waterpump and thermostat put everything together and started it. Ran for awhile and put the heater on high. Then I heard a hissing sound and saw steam rising from under the metal tube show in the pics. I am thinking head gasket. Am I correct or close?

The steam and coolant was coming from under the metal pipe in the last photo.
