Water on Passenger Floor
I have an '02 TJ, three weeks old and 1400 miles on it. Found water on the floor of the passenger side, in front. As soon as I got to work, I searched the forums here. You guys are awesome! I found what appears to be the exact problem.
Before I came inside work, I located the source of the leak. I watched as drip by drip it came out of what appears to be the blower. Just behind my accessory light under the passenger side dahs, there is a cylindrical looking object with concentric vents on the underside. Also a small pad of spongey material in one part of it. The water was dripping from a small rectangular opening at the bottom of this part. After searching the forums here, I think the solution would be to remove the cowl and hose it out underneath. BUT, this will be the responsibility of the dealership at this point. Anyway, the whole point to this post was twofold. One, let you guys know that this place is awesome. Two, ask that if I put screening under neath the vents in the cowl, would that affect any air induction to the venting system. Thanks!
