warranty question/advice

hey guys i recently bought a 2006 unlimited. It threw a check engine light for a bad catalytic converter.. Which i heard all emission control devices are warrantied for 80,000 miles or 6 years... But the previous owner installed a AEM intake, throttle body spacer and possibly an aftermarket throttle body. . as well as it being tuned (which i put back to stock) . . So will any of this stuff void my warranty? being a mechanic myself i know how we like to find ANYTHING to get out of doing warranty work..

Thanks.
Kyle.

It shouldn't but,it depends on the stealership. Some try to get out of any warranty work. The cat shouldn't have went bad so quickly.Do you have the stock air box?

I agree, people think this stuff helps even a little bit on the 4.0 but,it doesn't.I gave away my stock air box to a member on here.I took the stock tube and used an AEM dry flow filter cone filter that worked great. No oil or special cleaning.
