Want to ditch the shovel w/ new t-case skid w/ minimal mods

I've seen quite a bit of info on the belly up's and know the sye needed on many.
Does anyone have an angle on a shovel replacement that actually keeps the
t-case in place?

The EMP Skid only raises everything an inch. If you aren't running a t-case drop you could throw that in and everything would be the same as it is with the stock t-case skid...just a lot stronger. It is 1/4" steel.

you cant really have a belly-up skid without a 1" BL + 1" MML, and a SYE if you have a lift. When you raise the t-case up 2.5", you need to raise the rest of the driveline, otherwise your output shaft will be pointing towards the moon, and the t-case, trans and engine have to have someplace to move too. If you have a 2" lift, then doing a 2.5" belly up is like having a 4.5" lift.

Thanks for the insights everybody!

I opened up the hood and got down below and looked at things more closely.
In examining things more closely I can see how moving one end of the
system up could muck things up if the other didn't get some attention
as well. That comment "otherwise your output shaft will be pointing towards the moon" by Unlimited04 shifted my perspective. Once I actually looked
at it was sort of a revelation... "Unlimited04's got a point there."

Again, thanks. I'll just hire myself out as a road grader until I can put some
time and $'s into the shovel mod.

The SYE and the flat skid plate is really a great MOD.

I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

Trust me you'll love it.

It does involve a lot of stuff though. upper control arms, new driveshaft
rear track bar adapter, skid plate, SYE.

Everything seems to cost about 200 bucks each too.

One of the best mods out there. Other than the stupid 40" tire mud pits, I don't get stuck anymore and look forward to logs to hop. Over 18" of clearance at the middle changes everything
