I used the bar @ the left side of the photo (part of the front sports bar). My loop was pretty much negated by the sPOD installation. Anyway, I snugged the center strap to the roll bar and called it good. Worked great.

Can an anybody with this top tell me if you lose your back seat, when you install this top? Can people still sit in the back or do they have to duck down to sit in the back?

Nope, it's fine with a back seat. Unless your passengers are taller than your roll bar. :P

I have the front section on the rockhard cage. The T-Bar causes no problems, the strap just rests agianst it. This is where I will be mounting the screen for a spotter cam under the jeep someday.

Anybody over 5'6" will feel cramped and uncomfortable in the backseat. I rarely haul folks around back there, but they always comment on the 'sloped window'.

Thanks for the info, and yes i use my backseat all the time. When we going wheeling we load are jeeps up everytime, usually we'll have 3-4 jeeps going with a minimum of 9 passengers and none of us have 4 door JKs. So i did need to know about this top for passengers.

Hey guys, its my first post and I thought it should be on tops. Newho, how does this top hold up in the cold? I have a hard top on my tj with a sheet of plastic for a back window cause it broke the first month I had it. I've considered getting a new window installed on it but for $550, I want to consider my options, you know. Also, would it be worth selling the hard top to get one of these if the chance comes around for it?

I would not waste the money to repair your hard top. You could pick up a used one in like new condition for $700 if you shop around Had about 6" of snow fall on my top and I did not feel that it sagged as much as the factory soft top.

The Viking will keep you just as comfortable as a hard top will durring the dead of winter. However, I love my hardtop in the winter because of the defrost/wipe/wash function on the back window.

Cool beanz. The one month that I did have the back window on, the wiper didn't work and the heater element leads were broken, so I didn't mind it that much. I wonder how much I should sell it for. All I have to do is clean it and remove the plastic makeshift window and tape gunk and it'll be good to go. I just have to wait a couple of more months since I'm out on deployment.

I put my Viking on for the first time about a month ago and I must say that it is way too tight. Did anyone else have trouble getting it to fit, possibly b/c of the roll bar? The rear window is about an inch too high so I can't get it anywhere near to securing in the rear channels and the side windows aren't flat as there's some tension folds in them.

Also, any suggestions on how to get the windows into the bag flat without folding up the corners so when you put them in the top they don't buldge out?

Is it cold in MO? That may be your problemt. I didnt put my factory soft top on until Late November and It took me an hour to fidangle the top and make it stretch...

Yeah, you just wait for a warm-ish, sunny day and stretch it out. I left mine on 2-3 days w/o being tucked in the side tailgate channels and pulled them to fit when I got a sunny 65*+ day, works perfect now.
