PM me a phone number, my buddy took a small video with his phone last night and said he could sent it. I'm still alittle behind the times on technology.

Well, had to change and finish my intake. I was afraid the filter was going to hit on a larger battery, and wanted the extra room to try and mount dual batteries. It is rubber mounted now, and have a cardboard template cut to make a splash shield between the motor and filter like a factory kit. Anyone know where to find a pre-filter?

I think I am finished under the hood. 1 project left, to wire a relay in the starter circuit. I done away with the jeep ECU completely so I had to find the wire that actually signals the factory relay, and tried to use it, but couldn't figure out how to bypass the safety and with no jeep ecu to tell it anything, I decided to just buy one from GM, they offer a super nice kit, actually designed as a service bulletin for caveliers.

Man, that looks like it belongs there... Great Job !

All you need in there is a dual optima set up.

Looks great, and this is a great overview, if you ever decide to detail the process into a set of instructions (perhaps to sell) LMK. :-)

Got the starter all finished up. I found a nice GM part, which is actually a bulletin for a cavalier, which comes with a relay, and all wires, loom etc. Here is a picture of the part. There was 2 seperate kits to chose from, this kit was had the longest wires of the 2 kits. I should have mounted the relay next to the battery, then ran these wires straight to the starter in which is was designed. However, I had already made a wire, and routed it to the power box, so I took the quick road and mounted it this way. In the 3rd photo, you can see the kit even supplies you with a nice clip and bolt to mount the relay

I found the pink wire in the stock wiring harness is the "trigger" that sends 12v to the stock starter relay. I tried to jump around the factory safety switches to keep the factory relay, but without spending hours (I ditched the jeep ecu) I decided this way was more cost efficient. Here is the finished product on my jeep.

Took the jeep out for a drive today. AWESOME!! Right now I still have the 373 rearend in it. I just picked up a set of 44's built with 456 gears. I got the front installed (not front driveshaft yet) and had to drive it. I pulled out of the driveway and stomped it, nice to hear 35" tires go up in smoke in a jeep.

I am not sure how to do the video thing yet. I did find another problem: started driving down the road, noticed it running hot, so pulled over and seen antifreeze all over the bottom: traced it to the heater core. So, ordered that today and started pulling the dash apart. Guess it's time to fix the airbag also.

Check out outerwears
www.outerwearsracing.com

They have the pre filters. you might also try some of the ATV/dirtbike shops they may have the foam style prefilters.
I prefer pantyhose. cheap and usually get about 4 of them out of one set!

Wheres the driveline, Atlas's are no good without 4X4!
