V-8 swaps
Does anyone have any advice or links for putting a small block 350 in between the rails of a tj.. Its a 97 sport. I just put two rods through the pan this past week end so i figured i need a new motor. Any advice would be appreciated. Even for adapter links too..

^^^^ nice pointless post
I have never looked into the swap but I've heard from people that advance adapters is a good place to get in touch with for advice on how to get the engine in there but I have heard they are expensive so I'd just get advice from them then buy the parts elswhere. I have also heard the swap isn't all that bad but you will neeed new tranny driveshafts all taht stuff and def get rid of the 35 if you have it if you have a 44 then i think the diff is fine |

Nice pointless post. Start here for the basics. http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/chevy_small_block_v8.htm and then read this. http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/chevy_standard_shift_info.htm and then most importantly read this... http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/tj_swap.htm Then if you still have questions ask away. I'm on the last leg of firing up my LT1 powered TJ. ![]() |

That is a good way to make it so the advice you describe will no longer be available. One of the reasons that cost is high with customer service is that it costs a lot of money to hire and maintain a good staff.

I think he means get the advice from AA then get it from one of their authorized dealers. That will save anyone some serious cash and AA has setup dealers for a reason ![]() |

I buy all my AA stuff from Dirk at DPGOFFROAD.com He got me a couple pieces at a much better price direct from AA. The last piece was the 4L60E adapter to a NP231
