We'll miss you out there! It's going to be big!
Hey quit talking about me!! Lol good luck G! It doesn't look like I'm going to make KOH but I'll be following however I can.

1 ton unit bearings are expensive (around 4-500 as Gerald stated). Looked into them recently because I'm working on a F-350 superduty D60.
Yep!

Mike - these are F-350/450 knuckles unit bearing. I post these to show what is possible in the future as people grow their Jeeps they inevitably need something like these to move to the next level. Black Hole started from humble beginnings and has been through a few transformations in a very short time. Typing that my a$$ hurts from wallet slap!

Thanks, yes, I think you're right-total brain fart on my part there...

yes, those are expensive-we had to replace them recently on the F350 and I could be wrong, but seem to recall they were a bit over $500 even. The Curries look like a great deal for the money. I'd probably still give them a shot if they were TJ sized...

edit-oops, Thanks Gerald! Didn't see your post when I replied there. Yes, the black hole certainly has earned it's name in very short order!

Best of Luck,

Mike

Yeah, SD UB's are pricey as hell, even with an employee discount. When/if/when/if.....I swap to SD axles, I'll run Currie UB's.

Looking good, Gman.

Bummer! We'll see you on the trail as soon as KOH is over. I'm going to take a little time off after and just wheel. Something I haven't been able to do in a while. My new buggy will be at KOH!

Definitely some sweet unit bearings. Might have to look into them when I need to replace the factory units on mine. I still have to finish my mod build first though

I can't wait to get a "closer" look at this Jeep in a couple weeks, hey rubbin' is racing right? (Jay is going to hate me for that )

Are you on the lake bed? Was talking earlier to Dave's "interns" who are out there lugging fence around, driving stakes, chalking, etc. They were talking about the rain also. Even though it kicked my *** last year I'm sitting here wishing I was there.

Wow! What a great day at the Hammers! The town is really taking shape and miles of fencing is up. The big tents are in place.

The Jeep is great in the rocks with the LS. A lot more torque really help propel it thru the rocks. We got to test the rear air bumps and a vast improvement over OEM bumps. It doesn't buck any longer.

John drove the last water fall at Wrecking Ball. Then we came down Claw Hammer, Up Chocolate Thunder back around and up Jack Hammer, Bolderdash and a couple of others.

I may have missed it but have you had a chance to get it on the scale since the engine swap and changes for modified? Looking good, will see you out there in about a week!
