You hit it on the head. Flex pipes are utilized when you have OEM style motor mounts that have lots of movement in them. The Stroker had a flexible section in the 3" section but I didn't think it was necessary. This exhaust system has isolators towards the end that help with movement. The exhaust has a lot of movement available unlike a OEM cast exhaust manifold. The tri-y headers actually slip together at a few points and we use a few v-band clamps that flex as well.

Got the bumps all set. The Teraflex elastomer bump cans just needed to be cut down one inch and the King JK bump stops bolted right in.

did i read right, in that your planning on getting it smogged? how are you going to do this? what are you going to do about gauges, check engine lights, column ignition etc etc?

This one will not ever be smogged again. It will live the rest of its existence racing and when it its retired from racing trail riding.

The GM LS3 E-ROD motors, which are variants of this off road LS3, are 50 state smog legal and come with CARB compliancy info. You would just have to go to the Referee once to make it fully California legal.

Are they OBD2 legal now? Last I read it was only OBD1 compliant.

Yep! The air filter looks high but wait till I get the hood on and you'll understand. The UNI filter have a dry foam outer with an oiled foam filter inside. The PS has nice short lines. The frame has a lot more rigidity die to the new tube work. The LS motor of course and all of the goodies that went into it. King bumps and bypasses being picked up today.

We'll be testing this weekend. I hope!
