UCF LOPRO Transmission Mount - It's Finally Here...

The UCF LOPRO Transmission Mount was designed to allow you cheat.

For years people assumed you needed drop-down spacers for the stock transfer case skid so you can install a 3" suspension lift on a TJ - Not with the LOPRO mount!

Everyone also thought you needed a body lift to install a TT skid on a TJ or LJ - Not with the LOPRO mount!

There are many ways to take advantage of the clearance afforded by the LOPRO mount. Some probably haven't yet been considered.

The new mount is a direct replacement for the factory transmission mount on the '03-'06 model TJ and LJ. More testing and development is required before we release the LOPRO mount for the early model TJ ('97-'02). It is almost 1" shorter than the factory piece. This lowers the transfer case down into the skid plate by the same amount. That 1" of extra clearance can go far toward reducing metal-on-metal vibration and avoiding body lifts. Some increase in felt drivetrain vibration should be expected with this transmission mount.

Some modifications to the factory bracket that connects the transmission mount to the transmission will be necessary. You will be required to shorten a flange with a sawzall or angle grinder. The LOPRO mount will be shipped unassembled and unpainted. You will need to paint all the bare steel parts and install the bushing.

Note:

(1) The LOPRO mount will not be directly compatible with the UCF High-Clearance Transfer Case Skid Plate if used with the 42RLE automatic transmission. The transmission pan would interfere with the bent front edge of the skid plate. The front edge of the skid plate could be modified to allow the parts to be used together.

(2) The LOPRO mount should not be used with 32RH automatic transmission in the early TJ because the adapter that attaches the transmission mount to the skid plate doesn't adequately support the bottom side of the LOPRO mount.

Nice! This is perfect. Nice compliment to your ultra high clearance skid for my application.

They are $99.99 before the JF discount. Available now. I do need to weld some out but would be able to get them out by the end of the week.

As I'm sure you can tell the factory exhaust mount is connected to the adapter bracket. It is unaffected by the LOPRO mount. Exhaust work will likely have to be done with the TT to clear the tub and skid plate.

I designed the mount to replace the transmission mount itself so that it could be used with factory and other aftermarket skid plates. It is a very universal design that requires some custom fabrication in almost every case.

I just installed mine this weekend! It was a fairly simple job...Of course I already had the skid fitted from a few weeks ago. Just a little cut and grind work on the factory bracket and one mounting hole in the skid. The 1" it dropped my output shaft really helped my driveline angles.

So how does this go with your no BL skid? Or does it go with the next one up(down?) can it be used with either? Running a 3.5 inch lift here dont like the spacers and wand to tuck up as far as possible...

It works with any of my skids. You could use it with my 1" deep skid and no body lift if you like.
