Turn Signal Relay

I have a 2004 Jeep Sport and the turn signals work intermittently. Where is the turn signal relay. I looked at the fuse fanel under the hood and behind the glovebox and no luck. It sounds like it may he under the steering collum. Is is part of the turn signal switch assembly?

Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by intermittent? Do they come on but not flash or do they not come on at all? If it is the later, Boogieman is spot on.
