Turn Signal and Brake Light

Ok I read this but my problem is that my brake lights also do not work. However, my hazards works fine, the reverse lights are fine and the lights in the back also light up when I turn on my headlights. I haven't checked fuses yet, but I'm a little confused about the relay that was mentioned....

Anyone had these probs just from what I mentioned above?

Going to go check the fuse(s) now.....

Have you checked the switch on the brake pedal. Disconnect the switch and jumper across it. If the lights come on then it is the switch. If not look farther up the wiring. Good luck

Make sure that your rear tail light bulbs are double filament bulbs and both filaments are good. I had similar problems noone could resolve, and when I checked the bulbs, the previous owner had put the wrong bulb (single filament) in the right rear. My RH turn signals would come on, but not blink, turn signals would not work at all if headlights were on, and when I mashed the brake pedal, my dash lights would come on. I fixed all this with one $2 bulb......

Way to offer constructive advice linus24. Anyway, I had pretty much the same problem but it was in a chevy truck. In the chevy it turned out to be the turn signal combination switch (Turn signal stalk and assy) RF

RF usually more than just the brake lights wont work when its the combo switch and it will do wierd things in wierd combonations with the light. the switch designates what to do, and when to do it so when it goes lots of funny things happen, check the fuses first and foremost, keep us updated. also jump the brake light switch as stated if the fuse is good.

I think it was my muffler bearings - but after changing out my fuses and drying a few things out at least the brake lights works. who needs a turn signal anyway?
