Turn Right with a severe clunk clunk Clunk

Hey fellow TJers,

I experienced new phenonena. I was town driving and approached an intersection on a flat road (Kansas of course) when I made a rolling right turn onto another street. The jeep immediate started making a loud clunk clunk from the right side and I thought I had a flat. I felt the whole car vibrate severely as if I had a blow out. So I pulled off the road only to discover no flat and nothing loose. So I started up and continued on with no problems.
Nothing just fixes itself and I cannot figure out what happened.

Actually, that is where you are wrong. Jeeps do indeed fix themselves.

I thought a rock may have wedged itself up front in the wheel and fell out(since it went away).

Either u joint or tire rubbing. No big deal either way. If it comes back, then let us know. If not, don't worry about it.

I have the same issue. I am going to replace the axle u joints. Is it required to pull the axles completely out to do this? Or is there another way to get the ujoints off?

It could be a broken tooth or two on the ring gear
