Nice Jeep man! I've been looking into starting an 8.8 build. Would be very interested in a cost break down/parts list if it wasn't too much trouble. I'm thinking to replace bearings, rotors, calipers, pads & shoes & new ebrake cables would easily be under $1,000 as long as I could find one with 3.73 gears so I wouldn't have to regear it.
I am so envious of you guys that live out there & can wheel at Moab or Rubicon on a regular basis.
From reading reviews on here and other forums, I say stay away from all optima batteries. Apparently, their products have went downhill since they sold their company and moved production to mexico. Others on here have mentioned that the Sears Platinum brands were one of the best batteries going right now. I was reading a Consumer Reports not to long ago that confirmed that, being as they were at the top of the category. They can be had anywhere from their most top of the line at 250 or their mid grade batteries for 100, which also fared better than most other batteries and was near the top of the list as well. Was definitely the best battery in its price range.
My costs to get my 8.8 under my TJ and functional...
These are rough guesstimates, I don't have the exact $$ amount but should give you a good enough idea.

IRO Bracket Kit $250
Labor to weld brackets on $100
ECGS Brake like Kit $100

Yay for spacers. I might do that after I trim some more. Hmmm....
