Trying to Decide: 31's no lift or 32, 33's with Lift? Pics wanted!

I have a stock 04 TJ, and originally just wanted some 31" MTR's or BFG MT's on my stock 5 spokes to make it look a little beefier and handle a little better offroad. But I am affraid if I get 31's I will grow out of them. I will prob regear no matter what. ANYONE HAVE PICS OF 31/32/33 setups? Let me know what lift/tire combo you have with the pics. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Go to the sticky "What does my Jeep look like with ? lift?" at the top of the TJ thread list.

It has pics of just about every lift/tire setup known to man.

I've got pictures of no lift with 31" MTRs and a pic of after a Daystar spacer lift with the same 31's.

I haven't posted pics before, I hope this works.

The one thing I am affraid of with 33's is that my strock 5 spoke rims wont have enought backspacing for them to really look right, or be wide enough. I really would like to keep the stock rims though... Are spacers a fix? And will width still be ok?

Yeah, the spacers would be ok. Just make sure you get a good set that bolts BOTH to your hub and to your wheel. Don't just get a pair that are sandwiched between your wheel and hub. They don't provide enough thread grip for the lug nuts.

The pair I acquired were the Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers.

The things I like about the Spidertrax spacers are the strong alloy they're made out of, the double anodized coating to help with corrosion resistance and the hub-centric ring machined into the spacers. To my knowledge they are the only once that are like this and match up peerrfectly with stock Jeep alloys. Oh, and Spidertrax includes loc-tite with the spacers. I've picked up stuff from them in the pas for my Samurai. Their engineering, fit, finish, and attention to detail are outstanding.

Jason at Redrock4x4.com sells the spacers for less than Spidertrax. Don't ask me why. Anyways, don't hesitate about these spacers or any other quality kind.

Mike

33x10.50 would be fine with no spacers...might just need to adjust the steering stops...

33x12.50 would need new wheels or spacers...
