Trimming rear plastic flares for more clearance and "Flat Look"

Ok, its crummy out today, I have an extra set of stock rear fender flares. Keep in mind right now im just running without any flare/anything in the back untill i can afford to make/ buy some cornerguards.

so i feel like cutting something, so i want to trim up the stock rear flares I have to acheive a "flat fender look" just for ****s and giggles.

I know a while back i saw a thread with pics where a forum member did this, and it turned out pretty good. but ive been searching for about 20 mins and have had no luck.

Can anyone help me out?

I like the looks of these. A little spendy at about 500 a set, but they look like they'd give good clearance. I like the built-in signal lights as well.
