TRE flip in need of a 7 degree reamer

Hey guys,

I am wanting to flip my TRE on my 44. But the reamer is quite expensive. Any chance one of my fellow jeepers has one they could lend me?

Thanks

Tyler

Look on the Black Magic Brakes website in the "Jeep Co-op" section. I believe you wil find inserts there that wil not require a reemer.

I may have been confused... I just looked and didn't see them?

I know I've seen them somewhere.

They're still there and can be found on this page

http://blackmagicbrakes.com/site/414...Co-Op.php#2864

Unless you are using a TRE with a larger tapered stud, you cannot just run a tapered ream in through the top and call it a day. You will end up with the bottom half of the taper being too big and not contacting the TRE.

However that is for a TJ D44. Anyone know if it will work on a Ford D44? Or anyone know the size or part number of the TJ TRE so I can cross reference it?

I'm sure someone could make you some inserts for the Ford knuckles to accept Currie tie rod ends. Are you narrowing the axle to TJ width?

Then I wouldn't go to TJ taper anyway.

Google around, I'm sure you can find inserts for your large taper knuckles. Or you can get different knuckles.

Yea I'm gonna keep the extra beef. Where did you find the moog part numbers and dimensions? Any chance you have the number or specs on a D60 taper?!
