Transmission Noise

I have a noise coming from my manual transmission. I originally thought it was from the transfer case, however, it is now audible in all gears including 4hi and 4 lo. It happens when the vehicle has been moving and the clutch is depressed. When the clutch is in and the vehicle is at a coast I can hear a chuckling sound, as well as feel the vibrations through the gear shift. It sounds like a sprocket contacting another gear or surface. The noise starts very rapidly and slows down as whatever it is stops spinning. The transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears and the transfer case engages without issue.
