???? on trans issues

Hey Iam new to this board and I have a 98 2.5 peice. The problem I have is trying to get it in gear. The clutch is all the way in and it feels like it is stuck and the gear shifter wont move. Is this clutch or could it be something else, but once it is in gear it has no problems. Also when Iam rolling in first with the clutch in it has a very bad gear whine? Is this normal?

Sounds like the Clutch Plate needs adjusting. IF there is no slippage during shifting --- try tightening the clutch cable, which will mean that it engages/disengages further away from the floor.
