Trailer Wiring Harness?

I have a 97 TJ Sahara and would like to know what I need to do to connect my trailer lights to the Jeep? Is there a harness tucked away behind the bumper so I can connect the trailer harness directly? Is there a "Y" harness where I need to buy a harness, connect it to the "Y" and then to the trailer? Or do I need to buy a harness and splice it into the tail lights?

Thanks in advance,
Joe

The dealer can get this item, there is a change after 97, the one I got was under $24, with my dealer discount. Probbly 20% more to the public. Simple install less then ten minutes. The 97 item installs on the passenger side. Just loosen the fender liner and plug it in. Thread the pigtail through the rear crossmember and tie strap. HTH

Advance Auto Parts, $15 no cutting, no splicing.

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=HOP&mfrpartnumber=42615 &parttype=874&ptset=A

if that link fails- try searching Hoppy part number 42615 or similar for your year model. the 42615 is for an 04 Unlimited.

I bought that part labeled for 04 and it works on my 05. I figured there catalog just wasn't upated yet. Although, I think I've got one light that doesn't work, but I assume that's a trailer issue.

I can't imagine they changed anything from 04 to 05 on the lights wiring. Maybe somebody can confirm that with a wiring diagram.
