Trail master steering box skid plate (w/ pics)

I had posted about this a couple of days ago but got no feedback, and the title was screwed up. I got this skid, brand new in the factory box, sealed, from a guy who was blowing them out on ebay. $29 shipped. The wrinkle powder coating is a thick and tuff finish. I wanted to get your guys thoughts, on if this will with stand a beating and is worth being on my jeep or should I get the rock ready. Trail mast is known for suspension, but is the same company as OR-Fab and PA (body lifts).

In addition here it is on Qtec for a lot more $$$ don't know why

It only appears to be 1/8" or3/16" thick just by guaging the pic. If that's the case, chunk it and go 1/4".

I've got that exact skid onour TJ. It's been on there for about 5 years. Regardless f what people say, it is super tough! It's saved our steering box more thana few times. For 29 bucks you got a smokin deal!

The only complaint is that after 5 years, that nice powder coated finish is coming off in bug flakes. But hey, it's done it job.

Install and forget about it.
