It's been a couple months since I've seen one, but that guard bolts on to the top two bolts each side holding the bumper on.

If you want to wait until next month I can try and snap some pictures of one again.

i agree....i was always under the impression that the TJ one bolted to the 2 holes on either end of the warn winch mount and the YJ one mounted actually to the bumper...but then again the YJ has more space between the bolts so it might work and just need to drill a second hole...hmmm....you think you could take a straight down pic of your buddy's jeep so we can see how its mounted??

Not right now I can't as I'm in england. If he gets on MSN I'll ask him but otherwise you'll have to wait until christmas (and remind me).

I'm pretty sure our local dealers wouldn't go to the trouble of selecting a package that required drilling a new hole in the chassis.

Here's a pic of how he got the Jeep from the dealer (one of their press photos)

You can see the front guard bar with no winch plate at all, plus the lame photoshop job that happens with all Jeep's press photos...

It seriously ticks me off. The Wrangler could easily drive on that sand. Why do they bother faking it.

Thanks for the pic. I'll contact you after Christmas if I haven't gotten this figured out.

Using Mopar Bar with Oval lights

Going back to the original topic.

On the Mopar light bar, could you not install the tomb raider type lights under the Mopar bar instead of above it for a similiar effect??

Basically use Oman's as the sample, but flip the lights upside down and have them oval???

Looks like the lights would fit, give a similiar appearnace but not sure on top removal operation.
