TNT tube fenders -vs- overkill eng tube fenders

I have already heard of overkill eng taking forever with shipping dates. That aside... Which, in your opinion, is better for me?
I DD my TJ and off road once a month.

The TNT phantoms are a bolt on and require no drilling or cutting (so they say) http://gotreks.com/page.asp?pageid=116
cons:
-lotta mud/road debri flinging
-battery needs to be a dry cell
-need a aftermarket air intake that just might get water in it since I see mud holes
-no pre-drilled holes for turn signals
-state I need to use 3m sealant for the inner fender then some other product for a smooth look and that kinda sucks. I just wanna get the product, paint it, clear coat it, and install.
pros:
-look friggin sweet IMO
-can clear 35's w/ factory lift (so website says)
-cheaper then overkill eng (though money isn't an object in this case)
-known for great shipping time

OR

The Overkill Engineering flares are also bolt on and require no drilling or cutting (so they say)
cons:
-website says nothing about if I need a dry cell battery, an intake, ect... very little details again not sure if it too clears 35's on factory suspension as TNT states
-more expensive when opting for the LED's (but again I don't care about price)
-not so good turn around time from what I heard from other JF members.
pros:
-looks like a 3" flare so less mud/road debri flinging (for the basic fender not the extended 4" ugly one that's on their site)
-sweet looking LED turnsignals built in

ON TO PICS:

TREKS PHANTOM

Overkill Engineering
Please go to their site to see pics it's flash based pics I can't copy/paste in here http://www.overkilleng.com/overkillengineering/fronttjfender.htm

I don't wanna discuss BTF, Rev111, RRC, XRC, Gen-Right, ect.... Just these two. Sorry. But thanks in advance for chiming in especially if you know of anyone with the Overkill Engineering. I can't find anyone that has these.

I don't know what size tire you are running but you might wanna make sure you will have enough fender to keep you legal otherwise the cost of fix-it tickets may soon become not worth it. IMO the overkill ones look better, I like the integrated LEDs.

the whole 3M sealant thing is wrong on the TNT's. i just got mine took them to the powdercoater and had them all done and installed them. great so far. they just look fabricated is all

the no drilling thing is BS though, you need to mount all of your under hood stuff to the inner fender like the rest of us did, and if you already have an optima battery or similar type - you're set. and if you dont have that style of battery, you really should get one.

i had to wait 3 weeks for mine because i was at the bottom of the list and they were selling out of the fenders but they actually shipped them and didnt know it until i had called them and he said "oh... looks like they were shipped out 2 days ago... well thats fantastic"

the overkills with the flare looks like they will reduce your tire clearance. I never understood that about their design. you want to get the fender away from the tire, not put it closer. personally I like the TnT's, or Gen-Right. I love the Rokmen high clearance fenders

another vote for TnTs i love mine, i have a 3.5in flare, like spyder said you do have to drill to mount all the under hood accessories but its really not that hard. also i dont know what the deal is with the dry battery ive been running a normal battery in my TnTs waiting for it to die and its been going strong for over a year. i used herculiner type coating and mounted them up in an afternoon imo they are the best

How has everyone solved the problem of the aftermarket intake with the TnT's though? Eventually I plan on running a snorkel, and I'm really not wild about the cone style for letting in all that dust and perhaps some Florida mud... That's the only thing that keeps me from pulling the trigger on some; any suggestions?

i run a AFE CAI with a dry filter and i carry a spare filter with me when i ever i go out. i have no problem with dust as the AFE dry filters are a great product. i just cleaned my original filter last night, filthy as hell (25k miles) but there was no dust to be seen in the intake tube.

i am worried about mud though, oh well, i'll modify the original shroud.

you can see my setup in this picture

I was disappointingly in the same boat, in the end for the best though. I'm much happier not having as many assembly line parts on my heep.

Though I would recommend using an angle grinder . . .

I'm doing the TNT's. I've talked at length with Bob the owner of TNT about their design and application and honestly feel like theirs is a far superior product to anything else out there for me. I plan to use a windstar or escort airbox in place of my stock box. Both of which could be ran with a snorkel later (which I also plan on doing) with little work. There are more options than just the Buick or Mustang box talked about in Unlimited04's thread. As I said earlier, an Escort or Windstar box will also work. And I believe both are far more "inline" than the Buick box with it's abrupt airflow angles.

As for the Overkill stuff, I liked a lot of their product when I first was looking at parts for my build, but didn't like the prices on most of it. Then, compound that with a lot of the problems other people have had with them either with shipping, or payment issues, or whatever else... I just decided I'm better off without the headache. TNT and Overkill were my top two choices for tubes for me because I didn't like the extra "hump" that everyone elses flares give. TNT won out due to their superior design though. For me, I could fit 39s with my almost 4 inches of lift with the TNTs. I have no intention of doing so, but it's nice to know that the space is there if I ever want to go bigger than 35's.

I'd do TNT and not think twice about it. That's where I'm spending my money.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.
