TJ Winter Winter Beater Special Edition?
Does anyone know what the Winter Beater Special Edition stands for? It has the lettering under the mirrors, like the other special editions. I'm just curious what extra options it gives me... Maybe a stronger suspension to help me handle the plow to be installed?!?!

To the best of my knowledge there never was a Factory Package for a "Winter Beater" . This sounds like something a Dealer, Used Car Jockey or PO might have done.

I agree with jerryjeeper, there has never been a winter beater package, its actually rather crude, and I would be upset at any one who would call a jeep a beater. When I think beater I think rusted out Chevy Celebrity

Nope, no block heater. Nothing special, just aluminum alloy rims... I'm not sure on tires, because I just got them replaced with Goodyear Wranglers..

I would all but guarantee you the previous owner just slapped those on because its an 11 year old vehicle and he/she probably just drove it in the winter when he/she needed 4wd or something and thought it was funny. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if any dealer would have put stickers on a vehicle they were trying to sell proclaiming it a "beater".

Also, another thing. It had some weird graphics on it. They were taken off, but you can still see where they kind of were.. Maybe it's a rare Jeep?!! haha

It's just fluff. There's never been a winter beater edition. You probably got a wrangler that had some cheesy graphics at one point. Thats it.

Nope, there was no factory winter beater edition.
In fact for 97 there were no special editions. Either the PO or a dealer probably did it. |
