TJ side mirror interchange

Are the 03-06 side mirrors interchangeable with the 97-02 bolt pattern? Having to replace my driver side mirror after it broke half way through a trip using trailering mirrors that strapped to the OEM's. Figured I would look for replacememt and like the look of the newer mirrors on the 03-06's. I relocated the stock mirrors for running "door-less". Would prefer something that extends out a bit more esp. on the passenger side.

The bolt pattern on the door itself? Yes. I have ninety-something doors on my '06, with the '06 mirrors. Somewhere near me is a guy with ninety-something mirrors on '06 doors on his ninety-something Jeep.

I have 06 mirrors on my 2000 - no problem. Way better quality than the original ones. The paint stays on. I've had these on for about 3 years now.

Here's my '01 with '03+ style mirrors:

No problems - bolts right up. Massive improvement - no longer going out of alignment at high speed / headwinds or when someone carelessly bumps them in the car park.

Plus you don't have to paint them every 2 years.
