TJ with the shakes

I have a 04 tj wrangler x, with a 4.5" lift from rubicon express. it has 33" traxxes tire. At about 35 mph the front of the jeep shakes so bad that it comes out of gear. we have balanced the tire. has any one had or know how to fix the problem

Search "Death wobble". I don't know all of the causes but, Alignment, tires balanced, loose steering parts, all can be a cause.

Possible causes listed in order of likelihood:

1. Loose trackbar, worn trackbar bushings, or elongated trackbar mounting holes
2. Tires out of balance
3. Balljoints
4. Unit bearings
5. Tie rod ends
6. Steering box
7. Steering column

I'd start by having someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while you watch underneath for any slop in the steering and steering related parts.
