Please be sure to place your own safety first and use common sense when approaching an emergency scene. I'd also encourage folks with reliable 4 wheel drive vehicles to put their names on volunteer transportation lists at their local hospital. Emergency personnel sometimes get caught off-guard by foul weather and can use a 4x4 ride to and from the hospital during inclement weather. It's a great way to help your community and to show them what your Jeep really can do. Find out who has special needs in your neighborhood. Older and disabled neighbors may need help during inclement weather. Picking-up medications at a Pharmacy could someone's life. Consider joining a community group like C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team). You can learn more about CERT at http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/CERT/overview.asp Take a first aid / CPR class, you never know when someone might get hurt during trail rides. Would you know how to control severe bleeding, shock, and respiratory distress? Our Jeeps are something special, I encourage everyone to think of creative ways to help the community. You don't have to be a Volunteer Fireman to step up and help. __________________ John "When approaching a four-way stop, the vehicle with the largest tires always has the right of way" 2004 TJ, Auto w/ OD, 4.0L, Off-Road 36x13.5 Super Swamper IROK's on MT Classic II Rims, SYE, CV Driveshaft, 4:56 Gears, ARB Locker, 3.5" RE Superflex, 2" Body Lift, JKS Quicker Disco's, 9,000# Winch, Toys-by-Troy step-sliders, The Source OBA. There's plenty of time before Winter to get things in order to help whoever may need it. Like everyone else has mentioned, "Nice Work!".... __________________ dorinh 1999 TJ Sport |
