Story:

I purchased this vehicle back in February 2008 from a friend of mine that owns a local junk yard, the vehicle was a "burn unit" that had obviously been totaled by the junk yard. Over the last year and a half I have removed/rebuilt almost every nut and bolt on the jeep with my own two hands. The only thing that I did not do myself was bend the front "hoop" for the front bumper (lack of tubing bender), paint work, welding, fabbing, etc. was all done by me. I actually built this on a budget as well, many of the parts were either craigslist finds (seats, winch, front axle), closeouts that were discounted (PSC corners, steering), jeep forum vender discounts (lift, shocks, SYE, knuckle's) or ebay finds (CB, mirror, harness's). Many thanks to all of the jeepforum members who provided inspiration throughout this build, along with motivation when my wife/kids were wondering if I was having an affair! (honestly, I swear I am down at the shop working on the jeep).

Great job Greg, nice to see all of your hard work being appreciated. If there was ever a Jeep that fit the phrase "built, not bought" your is it.

Good job mang. Way to go.

::SELLING HALF OF MY JEEP::

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Congrats Greg! Your build is truely inspirational. It is amazing how you transformed a wreck into a showpiece. A well deserved win indeed!

Congrats Gunkel, it is well deserved, great build.

Too all who entered, man, I never realized there were so many amazing rigs that I haven't seen. Keep submitting them guys, Great quality, and great stories.

To those wonderful guys running the contest, it is nice to see such devotion to a great contest. So umm... my one and only suggestion, I know there is a 1 year rule on resubmitting, but wouldn't it make more sense to also restrict resubmissions to only allow those winning Jeeps that have undergone a moderate to extreme change over that year. The change of a bumper wouldn't be enough, more like highline hood added, 2" larger tires, new axels, ect.

Thanks to SuperWade2 For the 1 Year Upgrade!

Stinger is homemade, along with the front bumper:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/06...7/index14.html Starting at post 202, then continues on a few pages later with post 281 as I removed it and made it a part of the new diy bumper. And thanks!
