I know. I can't wait for the calendar. It should be awesome. I've been using the TTC calendar from a magazine since I've been deployed. a JF one would be much cooler.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Thanks!

Much like JeepDoo, I am surprised and excited that my LJ was even considered. Clearly outgunned on the trail by the other rigs here, I am proud to be a part of the contest this month. Wish I had some pics that weren't taken in my driveway! Wish I lived closer to some of the fantastic trails seen in the other finalists!

Great contest. Idaho, incredible looking Jeep! (I bet I could beat you to the trail, though!)

I have been very impressed. The truck performs extremely well. I am still waiting for the boost cooler and the benefits it will add (higher octane, lower boost temps). It is regularly over 100 here and I looking for a way to integrate a snorkel in to the kit to get cooler air into the motor. I know that intake air temps have gone up but have not experienced any detonation or pinging. Also the electronics work with the factory system perfectly. That was the main reason I chose this kit over the others that are currently available. When I decided to do something about the lack of horsepower I had the three main options. I have a 350 sitting in my garage waiting for a new home, but decided not to use it with this because of what I was starting with. The Jeep only has 37,000 miles on it and is in great shape. To make the 350 work I would have to replace the entire driveline (which wouldn't be a bad thing) and rewire everything. This truck would have been a great candidate for a stroker with the low miles, but wanted more than what would be normally available. The supercharger kit was incredibly easy to install, works great with everything else and has a great kick in the pants.

I send too much time on the road to not start in the power dept and work my way into having a great trail rig like all of the others in this months contest.

Question is Gunkel... when are you going to submit your rig?

I really hope a 2010 calendar is put together using the 6 TJOM winners from 2009 - otherwise we are waiting till 2011 for a calendar.

Likewise Ggrego - very purdy LJ. First time I had seen it and would like to see more of it. Very clean looking and you surly have me beat in the engine department. I will need to look into what you have done a little closer as I would like to upgrade my power at some point as well. I am leaning towards a diesel engine but similar to you have low miles (22k) so swapping out an engine does not necessarily make sense.

And yes, Im sure you could beat me to the trail (unless I got to pick the route that would get us there )

NICE Jeep!

I was just thinking the same thing.
I can't believe it took me this long to stumble onto this thread or know anything about this for that matter.

Greg, your LJ will be on here!

*EDIT* This thread needs a sticky.

Why not use the 6 '09 winners and then use the six non-winners with the most votes?

Just a thought - to give you 12 different rigs...

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfuction or uninstall themselves at any time.

I thought of that too, but those 6 non-winners with the most votes will be the winners more than likely the following months and on the following calendar.

if they get selected for next month, or even bother resubmitting

right now the plan is to include 2 different photos of each jeep for the calendar

Like the other guys, I appreciate being included in this group of jeeps. Lets face it, if you log on to a computer looking for other jeepers, wanting to learn something, wanting to show off something or just simply wanting to see how someone did it different. Then you are calendar worthy. If you are like me, your jeep isnt just point a to point b, transportation. Your jeep is something that no matter what level you are at with it, you are looking around the corner for the next step, the next little improvement. You enjoy looking at other jeeps, no matter if they are old, new, abused or manicured, you enjoy talking about jeeps and you feel like you are a part of a group thats maybe just a little bit half cocked when it comes to your rig or a fellow jeeper. If any of these things resemble you, then you might just be eat up with it as much as I am. Thanks for the votes, thanks for looking and thanks to the judges for including my rig.

I am so excited that the contest is now on. Congrats to all 10 rigs. In the future, I agree that more info should be included. Background info and a story make the experience more personal, and it made me connect more with the rig I voted for. I just wish I had the budget and permission to make mine such a good combination of form and function.
