I have one comment that may or may not add to this. Under the underhood relocation part, imo if something has to be removed and relocated then it should be listed as a yes. Just because the complany provides the parts necessary to successfully relocate things, the bottome line is that it had to be relocated which lengthens and complicates the process. What do you think?
And Necromancer Tat, shut up.

Just found a real URL for the C&C Fab group, to add to the eBay link we've already got... http://ccfabs.com/

Hmm I'll have to give it some thought. My intention was kinda more for if there was additional work other than what you could do with hand tools.

Mce
Thanks to Gary, who called me and let me know of this thread. To answer the questions:
Additional rearward clearance- zero additional, same as stock. Gen 2 could be mounted on a modified fender though for 2" more.
Additional upward clearance- At the minimum 1". Depending on where the tire landed on the stock fender when articulated up, this could be as much as 2"+. But each Jeep is a little different.
Thank you,
Mike

It would be interesting to reach out to the vendors of each of these (maybe via PM in on JF or Email) and ask for 4-5 succinct, specific and quantifiable points about their product(s) that differentiate it from the others in the market... It will end up being marketing speak, but would be interesting to hear what the vendors thinks set them apart from each other since we are looking at and talking about the things "we" think makes them different.

Hey SSB... I've starting reaching out to a few of the JF Vendors via PM asking for their feedback. I indicated they could reply to me to reply to the thread (like I see that MCE already did, although not at my prompting ). I'm only finding 5 at quick glance, but possible i'm missing some (I thought T&T and Genright had Vendor accounts here, but maybe not)
I think an additional Field could be "JeepForum Supporting Vendor or not"... some folks prefer to do business with those that help support JeepForum financially. Just a thought, maybe not important to everyone.

Edited again.
In my own thinking of where I will eventually go for a hi line-
The one thing I really like about the Metal Cloak hi-lines is the removable flares. I want flares but being able to zip them on and off on trail days would be super sweet.
I like the Poison Spiders too. Since I am a year or more away from actually clicking buy I am excited to see what the hi line Defenders look like.

I have the BTF D.I.Y. kit, I am going to modify it to use the inner fender.

The BTF wasn't really designed to use the inner fender.. Well who knows what it was designed for there really isn't a lot of info out there. It has a wing that comes down at an angle that is mean to be used to attach some of the components. There are a few builds on here and on PBB that have made use of the factory inner. A lot of them just take the inner out all together. I am going to cut the wing off of mine and it will essentially be like any other tube fender that you maintain the factory inner.
