It ended up working out great. Fits like a glove. Because the mount is bolted to the motor side of the motormount, it moves with the motor. That means you don't need to have any flexible sections in the pipe that add drag. The aluminum adapter was because I couldn't find a plumbing fitting that fit the two parts.

You revived a month and a half old thread for that? In response to something almost 4 months old? I hope you made your point.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

I just did the airbox for now. Because it draws air from the rear of the engine bay, it is safer for water crossings than the stock box. I was always afraid of my nose dipping into a hole and my airbox horn would go under.

There a place online to get the airbox that's needed? Don't have a local pick-n-pull that I know of...

It looks really cool! A+++ But I agree with Unscathed. Just out of curiousity why didn't you just use the cowl vent instead of cut into a good cowl?

You can look on ebay or post on a junkyard online community. You should definately be able to find one.

I was afraid of using the cowl for: 1 - rain water, 2 - I had water over the cowl before(only once) and didn't want to suck any water in. So, if I did it, I was going to do it big!!! LOL

If anyone wants a hummer cap, I can make one for $50 plus shipping. You paint it whatever color you want... All you would have to do is run the piping and cut the infamous hole lol...

You should consider pulling and selling them. They are a pretty rare item for the average joe to run across...

For anyone interested in finding parts (like the buick intake)

Check out car-parts.com They have almost anything you need, they are an easy site, and they can get you intouch with places to sell you what you need.

I have used it, and it is super easy, and super nice to use.

By the way prd_cdn I would love one of those if you have extras.

Brian
