could be.. I don't have a d30 laying around but I do have a d44, if I have time I'll pull a cover and put some putty in there to see how much it compresses with the cover bolted back on..

shocks longer than 22.5" are a limiting factor, they have longer bodies for longer travel, when they bottom out the stock bump stops don't contact axle pad.

I'd like to see/come up a definate solution to track bar problems with your set up using 22.5" shocks an stock bumpstop.. I have an idea now, just need some more input.

Neither one ruined a tire, but there was indisputable signs of contact. I think a lot of people don't fully flex out their rigs. It just has to do with their local terrain, not trying to claim to be more hardcore or anything like that.

*** 3/4" bumpstops minimum would be prudent since i technically I added the 3/4" coil spacers to level it out and OME rates it for stock bump stops, not -3/4" although we can't be sure that would actually cause a problem either
my rubi when stock never rubbed any paint on the underside of the fenders with stock mtr's and it was flexed beyond flexed.... IMO rubbing the flares is not a problem.. but thats another subject,

I appreciate your input.

2" Lift with OME N66/67 shocks with JKS Adjustable and stock differential cover. No rubbage of any kind while connected, have not disconnected since installing it though, so there might be rubbing at that point.

I hope it works for you.. post up your pics after you bomb down a rough road.

I should probably mention when I broke it, I was following a TJ on 42 over a birm, turning. I didn't make it at first and tried again with some throttle and heard a pop. I then noticed the tires weren't turning with the wheel and saw the track bar. (I knew something would break, I was locked with stock steering on 35x15 boggers.)

I will also put some fresh paint on the diff cover so I can see if the JKS one hits.

I'm quite certain they don't rub during atricualtion, just full compression of both springs..

what differential.... d30 or d44?

Mudb8,

I'll be running the OME HD 2.5" kit with Currie steering and Rock Krawler TB with bracket with a Riddler D30 Diff cover on a HPD30 when I get home. I'll let you know how it turns out. Any suggestions on bump stops with the shocks that come with that kit?

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

the bumpstops will depend on the shock length.. if you have the standard n OME shocks, they don't need any more than stock bumpstops,... if you ordered the n "L" OME shocks, they need 2" bumpstops.
depending on who you ordered it from, like dpg that puts together a hybrid kit and will send the longer shocks depending on you application, needs or want's.

The FT TB frame mount I have does not move the mount forward. I am thinking of modifying it to look like teh clayton mount.

Thinking that was about the only question.

D30 front with stock cover. I am fairly positive that with an aftermarket cover it would hit.

looking at the pictures the frame mount reaches clear over next to the steering box.... ?

so it has a brace and the track bar is still centered under the factory tre mount?

edit:... ahh, I see, it does bolt on the original and has a brace that reaches over and is drilled bolted through the frame vertically.
