In the name of the holiday spirit, Wheelin98TJ and I, through the generosity of Jeep Forum, are giving away a 1-year membership or 1-year extension to Jeep Forum. This particular promotion is for TJ owners only. This should be fun, so have a good time with it!

Maybe someone who helped you with a particularly difficult tech issue, or simply makes great helpful suggestions on a regular basis.
Tell us why you believe your nomination deserves to win, suggested criteria follows. Or just give us the name if you don't want to go into detail.

Least critical
Most knowledgeable
The one you'd most like to share an adult beverage with
The one you would most like to wheel with
Or any other criteria you believe is important

Edit: We now have 5 memberships to give away, Blaine Johnson has very generously made a personal donation of three more forum memberships for the contest. Thank you very much for your continued forum support Blaine! To that Border Dave has stepped up too to add a 5th membership. Thank you for your support Dave!
First of all: great giveaway! It's good to see this happening, and those responsible have my thanks for making it possible.
I'm certainly inclined to debate the question of whether or not I'm actually helpful; there are a lot of people on this forum that know a LOT more than me...but I thank you, nonetheless. :cheers2:
For my part, I would like to throw G Beasley's name into the hat: not only does he know his way around his LJ, but he always has a good attitude and honestly tries to help people in any way he can...and when it comes to shooting the breeze, talking Jeeps and throwing back a few cold ones, there's nobody better.
A quick story: When I was in need of a set of control arms and short on cash Greg was the guy that helped me out. Although he didn't know me very well at that time he nonetheless literally gave me a full set of JKS arms and told me that I could use them for as long as I had need of them, and that if I wanted to keep them I could just pay him when I had the money to do so...and he sealed that deal with a handshake and never thought twice about having done so. In my opinion that kind of act - that kind of trust and helpfulness - is the very essence of decency and quality, and in the intervening time I have found the man to have those rare characteristics in spades. Greg always helps, and he always looks to the good in people...and in my not-nearly-humble-enough opinion this is what Jeeping - what life - is all about.
So...although I am sincerely honored and appreciative of my own name being nominated I cannot help but to say that I think Greg to be far more deserving of the prize than myself; he is, often, the example I attempt to emulate when it comes time to do right by another person.
Well Jerry, I vote for you. Blaine is up there with you. He sure calls them as he sees them, a no-holds barred kind of guy. Too bad you are the one doing the picking. This can appear self-serving on my part. Here it goes anyway. You have not only helped me a number of times but I also learn from the many responses you give others. I still chuckle when I remember the story you related about the guys who carry the farm jacks rushing for the opportunity to put them to use when someone needs them. That thankfully put it out of my wish list. Along the same line, was Blaine's comment about 4/5 point harnesses. Gone too. But again, the frequent posts you both make with helpful tips. You stand out, but I am grateful for all the other forum members who have helped.
I think this is a great giveaway. As a novice TJ owner four years ago, I have received so many suggestions and good advice from this forum; it has made TJ ownership much more enjoyable. Perhaps this giveaway will also encourage some members to be more helpful, less sarcastic, and generally more forgiving of newcomers that may not know as much about Jeeps as they do. Thanks, Jerry.
Most helpful-Jerry
Least critical-not on jeepforum (not that its a bad thing)
Most knowledgeable - blaine
The one you'd most like to share an adult beverage with -all the guys mentioned.
The one you would most like to wheel with -imped
Jerry you and Blaine have been a major help with my jeeps, so I take my hat off to you both. Thanks again. Boogieman has been a lot of help to me so he gets my vote. Knucklehead has been a lot of help also.
Conner has been a valuable member to JF for sometime now. His build thread has been a resource in sharing what he's learned from starting with a stock TJ.
You guys are coming up with great suggestions, keep 'em coming. Even if their names have already been submitted, submit them again if you want them to win... highest number of votes win. Wheelin98TJ and I aren't deciding who wins, the number of votes do. I'm really glad we now have 5 memberships to give away!
This is a hard one since so many members contribute. Thank you to all of you!!
Most helpful - Blaine, Imped
Least critical - Hendrix
Most knowledgeable -Blaine
The one you'd most like to share an adult beverage with - Imped
The one you would most like to wheel with - AW1234
mrblaine gets my vote, I like the way he makes you think about it and arrive at the answer yourself ( with a bit of coaching ) rather than just tell you what the answer is which could leave you blind to why
I'd like to see more votes for people who are not mods or lifetime supporters.
We can't give a year membership to those people.
Thanks for all the input so far! :cheers2:
