tj exhaust pipe size?

does anyone know the factory size exhuast pipes on a tj.i need to put a muffler on my tj and im looking to order a muffler from summit but i dont know what size pipe it is and im deployed at the time being so i cant measure the pipe.i checked the tj spec page and couldnt find anything.i like the way she sounds but johnny law doesnt, so that why im gotta put a muffler on her.has anyone ran the new dynomax vt muffler yet?


05 wrangler - 2.5 rough country with pro comp explorer shocks ,skyjacker steering stabilizer,32x11.50 bfg all terrain ko's with pro comp black rock crawler wheels,lightforce 170 bumper lights,kc daylighter hood light bar,softopper soft top,and a really crappy olive drab and black rattle can paint job. Stock tubing is 2.25".

97 TJ 4.0L, Auto, 2.5" Lift, 1.25 BL, 1" MML, F&R Tube Fenders, 35" BFG AT, 4.56 HPD30/8.8

Rather than berating the guy, how about you post a link to a search that clearly shows the answer to his question. I'm sure he tried a search, and got nowhere. Showing him the key words you used in your search would be much more useful than posting snide remarks.

What size muffler would fit my 09 rubicon I want to buy a flowmaster but don't know the right size and if it's a center outlet or even centered inlet

FYI Dynomax tail pipe diameter is 2.5".....got one installed in my 06 recently.
